About A Little Bit Sheepish
Located at 2 South Main St in historic Berlin, MD, A Little Bit Sheepish is dedicated to the yarn-lover, whether crocheter, knitter or weaver. A Little Bit Sheepish opened its doors for the first time on November 14, 2012, but has lived in the minds of two friends for many years. That dream has been translated into a real brick and mortar shop that strives to be an organized and comfortable place to ponder projects and produce your creations. You will find lovely local and regional yarns, some gorgeous indie yarns, as well as those old friends that you would always expect to find at your LYS. Come explore all the colors and textures or sink into the sofas and pull out your latest project. Take a class or join a knit-along. Crocheters and knitters are always welcome at A Little Bit Sheepish.
Let me formally introduce myself and do a little "myth-busting" in the process. I have shared my life for 38 years with my husband, Steve. We both grew up in Cambridge, MD and have lived in many different places throughout our years together. Nearly nine years ago, we returned to the shore and I was privileged to teach at Stephen Decatur High School until my husband's job moved us back to Cambridge. Keeping our home in Ocean Pines turned out to be a wise decision in light of the opportunity to open A Little Bit Sheepish!
We have four wonderful sons, who all have families. We have been blessed with ten grandchildren, who are the delight of our lives!
I am a crocheter and an intermediate (at best) knitter, and look forward to learning new techniques along with you as we add to our skills through classes and informal sharing. I have always loved the colors and textures of fiber and have enjoyed working side by side with other women who share that passion. I have never owned a shop in Berlin (or anywhere else, for that matter!)
This dream has been in the making for many years and I feel blessed indeed, to have experienced so much support from family, friends and the community, in the process. My goal is to provide a comfortable spot for you to choose the colors and textures that call your name and an opportunity to expand our skills together as we share the joy of the yarn and sticks that produce amazing fiber arts!
